Oral Surgery
As a general and pediatric dental practice, here at Redwood Family Dentistry we are able to perform a wide variety of dental procedures, including oral surgery. The term “oral surgery” can refer to anything from wisdom teeth removal to major reconstructive procedures.
We are able to perform most routine oral surgeries in our office, including uncomplicated wisdom teeth extractions and a wide variety of other extractions. If you are in need of a procedure that we cannot perform in our dentistry office, we will refer you to a trusted oral surgeon and work with them to help you prepare and recover from your procedure.
Common Oral Surgeries
If you are in need of any of the following procedures, we will refer you to a trusted surgical specialist in our network:
- Impacted or bony wisdom teeth removal
- Cleft palate repair
- TMJ surgeries
- Jaw or maxillofacial surgery
These surgeries require equipment, materials, and training that require specialized oral surgeons to perform them.
Referrals
As experienced dental professionals, we have an extensive network of surgeons and colleagues that we feel confident referring our patients to. We will help you find the right surgeon for your surgical needs, insurance, location, and budget. We will also be involved in the surgery preparation, including sharing the necessary dental records and information with your surgeon to help them prepare for your operation.
